Welcome to the Postgraduate Training Program 2026, a premier academic initiative organized and hosted by the PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research in collaboration with the IPS Kongunadu Branch. Scheduled for March 14th and 15th, 2026, this intensive two-day program is meticulously designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world clinical application for psychiatry residents. Our core motive is to sharpen the clinical expertise and practical skills of postgraduate students through a series of expert-led sessions.

The curriculum covers a diverse range of critical competencies, from mastering the art of psychiatric formulation and basic psychotherapy skills to navigating the complexities of neuroimaging and medically unexplained symptoms. Attendees will gain valuable insights into specialized areas such as child psychiatry case work-ups, male sexual dysfunction, and the optimization of Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). Beyond the lectures, the program fosters a spirit of academic rigor through Free Paper Oral Presentations and a competitive Psychiatry Quiz.
